Malaysia White Coffee
Malaysia white coffee is well known and loved by many across South-East Asia!
Fun Fact: White coffee is not actually white! It’s named white coffee because it’s color is lighter than traditional black coffee back in the days , so people termed it white coffee!
Traditionally, people used to drink black coffee laden with lots of sugar, corn, barley, sesame, salt and many other flavoring agents to lower their cost and yet maintaining coffee taste. So, they would roast and cook all these ingredients till they were very char and grind them into powder, giving it a distinct dark black appearance.
Malaysians later on discovered a new recipe that roasts all the ingredients together then adding clean white sugar into the roasted/cooked product to grind. This in turn created a less dark coffee which is the now famous Malaysia White coffee.
